Festival of Sacred Art. 2019

The Senlis festival of Sacred Art is a nod to the long tradition to religious thinking in art. The festival was hosted by Senlis city (a suburb of Paris), one of the pearls of historic French locations. The Saint-Pierre cathedral was transformed into a scene of contemporary art, presenting modern paintings and sculptures from more than 300 artists from all over the world. In the festival I presented two of my works: 'Saint', my interpretation of a classical Russian (Byzantine) icon in pixels using a voxels technique; and 'Bonfire', a work inspired by Buddhism. The event generated a lot of success and is already being planned to return in the future.
