This series of Yod’s acrylics on paper communicates the artist's impressions on the St. Petersburg's winter sky hallmarking the concepts of time and virtuality.

Spending the winter of 2021 in the city of St. Petersburg, Ilya Yod drew attention to the vibrant range of colors and motifs of the northern sky, capturing the cityscape observed from his window for eleven timestamped pieces with chaotically mixed rectangular cuts to contextualise time and virtuality.

Time manifestes through paradoxes: the sheets of series representing the cityscape at different times unambiguously point on the time vector on one side, and the pasted parts of these sheets show non-linear time. Light glitches evoke virtuality.
